Strengthening Our Economy & More Jobs
"The most important issue currently facing Charlotte is the need to get our economy moving again and create jobs for Charlotte's families. Since last September, the Charlotte region's economy has felt a tremendous blow. In the past, we were insulated from a weakening economy. Now we are seeing record unemployment at 12%. We have to do everything we can to get laid off Charlotteans back to work."

-
Consolidate jobs programs to create a one stop shop for those looking for employment or are in career transition. Jobs programs must be results and tools oriented.
-

-
Work with Nonprofit organizations and Faith-based support groups to link volunteer opportunities for our unemployed and youth workers.
Better Business Climate & New Opportunities
"It is critical that we grow our economy. Small businesses are vital to our city's economy. Burdensome regulation and over taxation can cripple our growth. At present, North Carolina has the highest corporate taxes of any state in the Southeast. As your City Council Representative, I will fight for relief from excessive taxation and regulations so businesses have the freedom to thrive and create more jobs in our city."

- Push for more regional cooperation for issues related with gang violence.
Fiscal Responsibility & Accountability in Spending
"With a tough economy, businesses are changing the way they conduct business. The City of Charlotte must reflect positive changes to move us forward. It's time to conduct a thorough audit of how your tax dollars are spent."

Keeping Our Community Affordable
"Charlotte is a great place to live, work, learn, play and raise our families. We must keep in mind what made our City so attractive to so many individuals and businesses. We must keep our community affordable to all who want to call Charlotte home."
